That is a fair trade between information density and readability, whereas oversized cards may look cleaner but make long browsing sessions feel slower.
For posting, I think a simple editor is usually better than a feature-heavy one on a phone. Large tap targets for quote, preview, and submit matter more than extra formatting buttons, and a persistent draft save would make everyday replying much less fragile. Collapsible signatures and optional hiding of large avatars could also keep discussions easier to follow without changing the desktop experience.
